Easter and more.....lots more.......and even more

I walked into the kitchen the other day to find Alex like this. Notice the fish sticks on the cookie sheet in the background? Ya, He told me he was just cooking fish sticks for lunch!

Nelson loves, loves the slide! He has been going down it non stop when he's outside and he can even climb up to it himself out. He is fearless!

Mommy - Son Jazz Game Date!

Thanks to Jana we got some great prices on tickets to a jazz game and decided it would be fun if all the moms took their boys. It was such a blast! Even if we did sit on the very very top row!

Zac & Jax - best buds

Me and Jax

Zac, Jaxson, Tyer, Hunter

All tuckered out on the way home. How sweet!

Jaxson lost his first tooth!

Isn't he cute?

Nelson loves to accessorize
It's o.k. that I don't have a little girl to put bows and earings and bracelets on because Nelson is my little accessorizer. He loves to put on sunglasses and hats and necklaces
(the cool boy kind, of course)

Backyard Picnic
Who knew that something as simple as a picnic in the backyard would make my kids sooo happy! Jaxson thought it was the coolest thing ever that we even had a checkered blanket and wicker basket for the food. Alex was happy, but he kept asking "Where's the picnic at, mommy?" "When do we get a picnic?" He didn't quite understand what a "picnic" was.

SOCCOR STAR!
Jaxson is playing soccor for Gate City Soccor this year and he is having so much fun! Not to brag or anything, but my kid is pretty dang talented! It is so fun to watch him play. He is so focused and serious it is funny. He scored 6 goals his first game and 5 at his second game.

And Finally........ EASTER!

Jaxson's playing for the Utah Jazz!

Jaxson's favorite thing in the whole world are his 553 basketball cards. He plays with them all day long everyday. He sorts them into different categories and counts and recounts them. He has an amazing memory and he can tell you players names and numbers, the position they play and all the teams they have ever played for. He is of course obsessed with the Jazz. So I decided to make him his own basketball card. I thought it would be cute too to use it for his preschool student spotlight.

Alex is 3! Happy Birthday!

Alex LOVES birthday parties and birthday cakes so he was so excited to have his own finally! I let him pick a cake out of a book of birthday cakes and he wanted the monster birthday cake. It was all he could talk about for weeks. "I get a monster birthday cake mom?!" We had a little lunch time birthday party with his cousins and had the kids decorate monster face pizzas.

This is his monster birthday cake. He loved it! It's so nice to be appreciated!

This is Nelson and his cousin Annalyn at the birthday party.

All the kids playing with Alex's new bubble gun. He got 2 of them!

I don't think Alex even realized he was going to get presents. He was so excited for a birthday cake, he kind of forgot about the presents part of the birthday. So he was doubly excited!

When it was time to blow out the candles I wondered if I would have to show him what to do. I still think of the kid as my little baby! He knew exactly what to do though!

We got him this cute little tricycle. It has a little licsence plate on the back with his name on it. He was sooo excited! This is him doing a cool trick on it.

A little about my bestest bud Alex..........

Alex loves to help me in the kitchen. Never fail as soon as I start making anything within 2 seconds he is pulling up a stool to help. He especially loves to roll out dough. Oh, and make mac n' cheese. The only thing I do is put the water in the pot, and drain the water when the noodles are done. He has to do everything else or there is a major fit involved.

He loves to snuggle baby's and stuffed animals and put them down for naps during the day. This is a pic of him snuggling his Jazz bear. It was so cute the other day I was looking at a magazine and their was a little 3" picture of a sleeping baby and Alex reached out with his thumb and pointer finger like he picked it up and set in his arms and then rocked back and forth humming like he picked up that little baby right off the page and it was real! He has such an imagination!

He loves to drive Nelson crazy! Whenever Nelson is in the high chair Alex has to push his stool right next to him and help him eat. I turned around this day to see that Alex needed to be even closer and sit right on his tray! As you can see, Nelson was not happy about it!

He no longer takes naps unless he falls asleep in the car or if he's really tired he will fall asleep on the floor. The other day I heard a weird noise and I realized I hadn't seen or heard Alex for a little bit. I could not figure out where the noise was coming from and I kept calling Alex's name and then I discovered him, snoring loudly asleep in the laundry basket. What a cutie!

I think this picture totally shows his little personality.

O.k., just a few more cute things about my Alex. He is so polite and always asks me in the sweetest little voice for things. Of course if I don't answer him the first time or if I say no, he keeps asking over and over again and his voice raises each time until he is screaming at me! We are working on that one. :) Whenever he gets hurt even a little bit he cries and whines until I kiss it better and then he is immediately better. It's nice to have magical kisses!

He is such a smart, funny, cute little boy! I love you Alex!

My poor Boys have been Miserable! They all have a really bad cough and Nelson also has an ear infection. I had to set Nelson down the other day (I have been holding him 24/7!) and sweet little Jaxson was trying to make him feel better. He is such a good big brother! Even though he was feeling horrible himself he just wanted to help Nelson. Jax and Alex share a room and one night after I put them to bed they were both coughing really bad and Jax kept calling my name and when I would go in he would say "Mom, Alex really needs you." He was so worried about his little brother. I don't know what I would do without Jaxson. He is such a big helper.

The kids got this train table for christmas and when you put the lid on it is just a fun little table to color on and stuff. I was excited because we put the lid on it for the first time and turned on Cars movie and got out the big Cars coloring books. The kids Loved it!

Alex is a very picky eater so I have been trying to be creative to get him to eat more of a variety of food. So for a snack the other day I made this monster face. Jaxson loved it and ate the whole thing. The 2nd picture is what Alex did to his.

He immediately took off the spinach and orange and said "I don't like these!" and then he took the raisins off the apples and said "No, the raisins go on the plate!" So much for trying to be a fun mom!
The Binky is Gone!

This is a past picture of Alex with his 2 favorite things, his binky and his blanky. It shows him doing his weird habit of sticking the blankets tied edges in his nose and swirling it around. Weird and gross, I know! A few weeks ago I found out just how comforting his nose picking thing is to him. His stomach was hurting really bad for about a week and he was miserable and cried all the time. When I couldn't calm him down I would take his blanket and swirl it around his nose and his head would immediatly start bobbing up and down and his eyelids would flutter and he would just fall asleep! I mean within like 10 seconds! It was really funny! Anyway, I have been tring to figure out how we were going to take his binky away from him for awhile now because I was sure it would not be easy! But one day I just couldnt find it anywhere and so I made him go to sleep without it and it wasnt as big a fight as I thought it would be so I decided it would be lost for good. He only asked for it for 3 nights and then one morning he told me "mom, you give me a binky, but binkys are for babys. I'm a big boy. I don't need a binky." I was amazed! And better yet, I realized the other day that we were giving him his blanky everynight, but he wouldn't stick it in his nose. So I just started not even giving him his blanky and he hasnt said anything! I guess the binky and blanky were a package deal! The only downside is he used to go to bed very easy and now I have to lay down with him. Hopefully when he's feeling better he wont need that anymore. So I guess my Alex is turning into a big boy! Now, if only I could potty train him.
