Fly Away!

My boys LOVE The Tim Mcgraw song "Fly Away" Whenever we are driving Jeremy turns it up way loud and they sing it at the top of their lungs. A couple of times lately I'll hear Alex when he's just playing by himself singing it and the other day there was a fly by him and he said "Look, mom, bug!" and I said "Thats a fly" He started singing "fly away! fly away!" and now everytime he sees a fly he sings it! My kids are so cute, I know!

This is Alex after he decided to open my lotion and spill it all over everything and try to eat it! Yuck! It is a very scented lotion like perfume. I can't imagine it would taste very good!

Salt Lake City Trip
A couple of weeks ago we took a little weekend trip to Salt Lake. The first day Jeremy and I got to go see the Broadway production of High School Musical. (thanks for watching our kids Jana!) It was pretty cute. I would look over and see Jeremy laughing and when he noticed me watching him he would roll his eyes and say this is so lame! It was funny. Then that night we just played in the pool at the hotel. The kids loved loved it!Nelson would sit on the top step and just splash and squeal. Alex would climb all over the stairs and then when he got brave enough to jump in to Jeremy thats all he wanted to do over and over again. Jaxson started out that first night so scared of the water he would not get off the steps and when Jeremy tried to take him out farther he threw a royal fit! Screaming and crying at the top of his lungs! But by the end of the trip he was running and jumping into the pool with his waterwings on in the deep end and swimming across the entire pool!
The next day we went to the Hogle Zoo. Nelson did great and slept most the time. Alex had alot of fun. Jaxson was a bit mored interested in following the map to find all the animals and then would only look at them for about 1/2 a second and was ready to set out to find the next one.

1. Where did you and your husband meet?

My friend called and invited me to go to a corn maze in Idaho Falls and Jeremy was driving and picked me up and the corn maze was closed so we went to a movie instead. "The Replacements"

2. The first thing you said to each other?

Hi. was probably the only thing we said the whole night until the drive home and my friend sat in the backseat fighting with her boyfrend over the phone and I sat in the front with Jeremy and we talked the whole ride home and started the "no fight club" (Like the movie "The Fight Club", I know we are dorks) because we thought it was so dumb how much they were fighting.

3. When was our first date?

I don't even know when our first official date was, but it was after we had already kissed! I think we went to a haunted house.

4. First kiss?

It was the 2nd time we hung out together and it was at our friend Brittney's house. (Thanks Brittney!) He walked me to my car and after he kissed me he said "I'll call you sometime, but I'm going out of town tommorrow and then I'm going to be working alot, so I don't know when." I totally thought he was blowing me off! I was pissed! But he ended up calling me the next day and we were together everyday from then on.

5. When were the first "I love yous" said?

About 2 weeks after we met! we were sitting in his car talking about something and I said "you hate me now don't you!" and he said " no, I love you!" And he said it totally seriously and I was really caught off guard, but I said it back without even thinking and then when I got home I was like oh my heck I think I really do love him!

6. Long or short engagement?

short, just over 2 months

7. Where did you get engaged?

We always parked by the Idaho Falls Temple and talked about our future so he took me there, o.k. funny story. I thought we were just going to Idaho Falls to watch a movie. We already knew we were going to get married (even though we had only known each other for 3 weeks!) and that very day Jeremy was saying he was scared to ask my dad for permission. I didn't expect a proposal for at least a month at the soonest. So we drive to Idaho Falls and he had no intention of actually going to a movie. He stops by our spot by the Temple and wanted me to get out of the car. It was freezing outside and there was no way I was getting out of that car. I refused. so he finally gave up and we went to the movie. Then after the movie He was going to try again and the whole drive to the temple I was singing really loud the Dixie Chicks song "ready to run" He was freaking out. So we went to our spot again and I got out of the car this time and he got down on one knee and said " Lacey, I love you, will you marry me?" I was so shocked I said "Did you ask my dad?!" He said yes I asked him today! so then I finally told him yes!

9. Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went on a cruise to the Bahamas

We bought a house in Pocatello on Washington street

Our summer so far

Well, I haven't blogged a whole lot lately so I decided to post some of the pics I have taken so far this summer. There is alot to catch up on so sorry!
we had 2 baptisms and a baby blessing last saturday of our nephews. It was a fun family day. I have really been wanting to get a family pic and once again it didn't turn out too great, but I thought I would post it anyway.

I promised Jaxson I would put this pic on my blog because he thinks he looks cool!

Nelson has started to pull himself up on everything! He is growing up so fast!

Alex found the camera and insisted on posing for some pictures and this is what he did. He wouldn't even smile for me. such a nerd!

For the 4th of July we went to my sister in laws house. It was alot of fun. All the kids had a blast.

Jaxson played T-ball for the first time this year. He got to be on the same team with his cousin Britton. He had alot of fun and he was really funny to watch. Him and Britton would fight over who got to stand on the pitchers mound while they were in the field and at one point Britton had a bag of m&ms he was passing out to everyone in the middle of the game. Needless to say they weren't exactly competetive.

Alex and Nelson love this pool. Nelson just squeels. it is so cute.

We have a hill in our back yard that the kids just love to play on. Especially in the summer when I put a water slide on it. Alex was too scared to go down it at first, but it didn't take him long to realize how fun it was.

This is my crazy little baby who does not like to sleep like ever! so this is what he looked like twice in one day because he got so tired he just finally passed out. One minute he was babbling and the next I turned around and he was fast asleep!
