My PaRtNeRs In CrImE
Nelson has turned into a little troubmaker and with Alex teaching him the ropes I don't have a chance!
This is a picture of Jaxson and Alex's room after I left Alex and Nelson alone in it for 2 minutes! And yes It was spotless to begin with! That dresser in the back mostly contains all of Jaxsons little collections of millions of small items. Alex decided to remove every drawer and dump them out all over the floor! All of the books are compliments of Nelson. His new favorite game to play "pull every book off the bookshelf"
This is Alex teaching Nelson the game "see how much toilet paper you can flush down the toilet before it clogs up and overflows" and for bonus points how big of splashes can you make to cover yourself and the bathroom in toilet water!
Alex likes to poor his milk back and forth between 2 cups and when it all ends up on the floor Nelson likes to splash in it and rub it all over the floor!

First Alex and Nelson ripped up the newspaper all over the floor and then Alex carried a bag of chips into the living room where Nelson proceeded to dump them on the ground and eat them! And yes, the last 3 pictures were all taken in the same day! awww, these boys are going to grow up and do great and wonderful things together!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY JAXSON!
September 8th is a very special day. It is Jaxson's birthday, my dad's birthday, and my grandpa's birthday! We always have a fun party celebrating 3 generations of birthdays!

For anybody who doesn't already know it, Jaxson LOVES bugs! He spends all day trying to catch them and reading about them so he knows the best spots to catch them! So, this year he wanted a bug birthday cake and so I made him a disgusting bug birthday cake! It actually tasted really good. I made a chocolate cake and tore it into chunks and mixed oreo cookies n' cream pudding with it and the creme from inside oreos and then topped it with chocolate pudding and crushed oreos. YUUUMMM!

He got all the right birthday presents and was really excited about everyone of them.
One of his presents from Jeremy and I was a bug vacuum. Its like a little dust buster that sucks up bugs and then there is a magnifying glass to see them better. I don't know who liked it more, Jaxson, or all the big kids (like Jeremy). At one time they had a grasshopper, earwig, bumble bee and cat face spider in it! YUUUCK! But man they all had fun!
Things I love about Jaxson:
1. He is a very caring big brother
2. He always wants to cuddle
3. He loves to sing and make up songs
4. The cute way he talks
5. His adorable smile
6. His enthusiasm for everything
7. He is very helpful
8. He is very sensitive to peoples feelings
9. He loves "family time"
10. When I'm sick or sad he gives me his cuddly blanket
Things Jaxson loves:
1. His brothers
2. Climbing on his dad like a jungle gym
3. Hanging out as a family
4. Catching bugs
5. Playing with his action figures
6. Singing and making up songs
7. chocolate milk
8. Playing with friends and cousins
9. collecting tickets, cards, any little trinket
10. visiting grandparents
I love you Jaxson! You are getting so big and grown up! I am so proud of the "little man" you are becoming!

Indian Creek Camping Trip

We went camping over Labor Day weekend and it was the funnest camping trip we have been on all year. The place we went was absolutely beautiful and the kids were quite well behaved. Of course, I think what made it the funnest for me was Jeremy was very helpful! Not that he isn't usually, but he was extra helpful this time and I actually got to sit around the campfire at night with the adults after the kids went to bed because the baby slept great.

Jaxson and Marley playing on "the bridge" Jaxson had alot of fun playing with his new friends Marley and Boden.

Jaxson spent most his time catching bugs. (His all time favorite thing to do in the summer everyday all day long!)
Alex warming his hands by the fire.

Nelson driving his car. I am so glad we brought this car. He would climb around inside it forever and it kept him somewhat out of the dirt.
My filthy little Alex. He would just lay down in the dirt and roll around. It was impossible to keep him clean!

Jeremy chillin' with Nelson. They have become pretty good buddies, as long as i'm not around.
Look at that grin!

Fly Away!

My boys LOVE The Tim Mcgraw song "Fly Away" Whenever we are driving Jeremy turns it up way loud and they sing it at the top of their lungs. A couple of times lately I'll hear Alex when he's just playing by himself singing it and the other day there was a fly by him and he said "Look, mom, bug!" and I said "Thats a fly" He started singing "fly away! fly away!" and now everytime he sees a fly he sings it! My kids are so cute, I know!

Salt Lake City Trip
A couple of weeks ago we took a little weekend trip to Salt Lake. The first day Jeremy and I got to go see the Broadway production of High School Musical. (thanks for watching our kids Jana!) It was pretty cute. I would look over and see Jeremy laughing and when he noticed me watching him he would roll his eyes and say this is so lame! It was funny. Then that night we just played in the pool at the hotel. The kids loved loved it!Nelson would sit on the top step and just splash and squeal. Alex would climb all over the stairs and then when he got brave enough to jump in to Jeremy thats all he wanted to do over and over again. Jaxson started out that first night so scared of the water he would not get off the steps and when Jeremy tried to take him out farther he threw a royal fit! Screaming and crying at the top of his lungs! But by the end of the trip he was running and jumping into the pool with his waterwings on in the deep end and swimming across the entire pool!
The next day we went to the Hogle Zoo. Nelson did great and slept most the time. Alex had alot of fun. Jaxson was a bit mored interested in following the map to find all the animals and then would only look at them for about 1/2 a second and was ready to set out to find the next one.
